Mungret Wins Civic Amenity Site of the Year

Indaver is delighted to announce that our Mungret site in Co. Limerick has won the Repak Civic Amenity Site of the Year Award 2010.

The Recycling Awards recognise the efforts and ingenuity of Business Members, Local Authorities, Collectors and young people in the area of packaging prevention, reuse and recycling. The objective of the awards is to promote and encourage good recycling practice amongst industry, local authorities, waste contractors and Ireland's youth.

Each civic amenity site was assessed on their achievements in three key areas:
Site Performance
Awareness, Marketing and Communication
Innovativeness

An independent judging panel, chaired by the CEO of Repak, selected Indaver's Mungret site as the winner from the short listed applicants. Speaking on behalf of Indaver, site manager Tom Keogh said:
"I would like to thank everyone for their kind words, but I would also like to thank my team, Terrance Ryan, Ger Kiely, JP Garvey and Brian McAuliffe, as well as John Collins, for all the hard work they have put in to make this award possible."

Setember 2007: Mungret Reuse Centre

A Reuse Cente has recently been launched at the Mungret Recycling Centre. Items brought to the Reuse Centre are placed in the appropriate area where others may take them away for resuse.

Setember 2007: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Limerick City Council are promoting reuse as a more sustainable way of dealing with certain types of household waste - to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and to help people clear their clutter!
